Westbourne Park Building Society

History

Westbourne Park Building Society was founded in 1885 as the Westbourne Park Permanent Building Society and was renamed in 1940. It expanded through acquisition, taking over Ashford Permanent Benefit Building Society in 1953 and acquiring Lloyds Permanent Building Society in 1965. Later that year, it merged with Leek & Moorlands Building Society to form Leek & Westbourne Building Society.
