Dorchester & County of Dorset Economic Benefit Building Society

History

Dorchester and County of Dorset Economic Benefit Building Society was established around 1847 and had been trading as Dorchester Building Society for several decades before being formally renamed in 1964 according to the Building Societies Association. It later transferred its engagements to Bristol & West Building Society in 1966 and is now part of Coventry Building Society.
