Penistone Building Society

History

Penistone Building Society was established in 1867 as Penistone & Thurlstone Permanent Benefit Building Society and was renamed in 1948. It later transferred its engagements to Leek & Moorlands Building Society in 1965 and, through subsequent mergers and acquisitions, is now part of Coventry Building Society.
